The Developer
My name is Ivan B. I hold a degree in Electrical Engineering and have been writing software since 2010 more than a decade of building web applications, backend services and automation tools. Over that time I have completed more than 10 projects across different industries, ranging from small business utilities to network diagnostics platforms.
I have passed the relevant professional state examination in my field. I work as an employee while building and maintaining independent projects in my spare time. IPWhois.net is one of those a free, ad-light tool I built because I wanted a fast, no-nonsense way to look up network information without being pushed toward a paid plan on the first click.

About IPWhois.net
IPWhois.net started as a personal tool and grew into a public service. The goal is simple: give anyone fast, accurate network information without requiring sign-up, without dark patterns, and without hiding the useful results behind a paywall.
The site covers IP lookup and geolocation, domain and ASN WHOIS, DNS propagation, MAC address vendor lookup, SSL inspection, port checking, blacklist checking, VPN and DNS leak testing, and more. All tools use cached results where appropriate to keep response times low and reduce load on upstream data sources.
We also run our own threat intelligence database at bl.ipwhois.net with over 150,000 reported malicious IP addresses, refreshed daily from multiple sources. The blacklist is integrated into our Blacklist Checker and available via a free public API.
Data comes from the five Regional Internet Registries and public DNS infrastructure. The site is self-hosted on dedicated infrastructure in Europe (Hetzner, Germany) with Cloudflare CDN.
