Who is behind the site, in a few lines.
My name is Ivan B. I hold a degree in Electrical Engineering and I have been writing software since 2010, so more than a decade of web applications, backend services and automation tools. In that time I have finished more than 10 projects in different industries, from small business utilities to network diagnostics platforms.
I have passed the professional state examination in my field. I work as an employee and build my own projects in the evenings. IPWhois.net is one of them: a free, ad-light tool I made because I wanted a fast, no-nonsense way to look up network information without being pushed toward a paid plan on the first click.

About IPWhois.net
What the site is, in numbers and in words.
IPWhois.net started as a tool for myself and grew into a public one. The idea is simple: give anyone fast, accurate network information without a sign-up, without dark patterns, and without hiding the useful part of the result behind a paywall.
The site covers IP lookup and geolocation, domain and ASN WHOIS, DNS propagation, MAC address vendor lookup, SSL inspection, port checking, blacklist checking, VPN and DNS leak testing, and more. Where it makes sense, results are cached so answers come back fast and upstream sources are not hammered.
We also run our own threat intelligence database at bl.ipwhois.net, with over 150,000 reported malicious IP addresses refreshed daily from several sources. It feeds our Blacklist Checker and is available through a free public API.
The data comes from the five Regional Internet Registries and public DNS. The site runs on dedicated hardware in Europe (Hetzner, Germany) behind the Cloudflare CDN.
